We build roadway designs in Autodesk Civil 3D as one connected model instead of a stack of separate drawings. Alignments, profiles, cross sections, and grading update together, which keeps plan sheets, quantities, and staking information consistent as the design evolves. We carry projects from conceptual alignment studies through final PS&E, and we have worked to ODOT, PBOT, and county roadway standards throughout the Pacific Northwest.

What We Deliver

  • Horizontal and vertical alignment design, with plan and profile sheets drafted to your CAD standards.
  • Cross sections, both typical sections and specific sections cut wherever the design or a reviewer needs them.
  • Corridor modeling and grading, including using the surface model to find low points and predict where runoff will collect.
  • Intersection layouts and sight distance checks.
  • 3D modeling of ADA facilities inside the roadway corridor, so curb ramps and sidewalks are graded in the same model as the street.
  • Conceptual planning layouts for major corridors and roundabouts.
  • Quantity calculations and construction staking notes taken from the model.

Typical Projects

  • Full horizontal and vertical design of roughly three miles of Marion County roadway for a full-depth reclamation project, covering typical and project-specific sections, intersection layouts, retaining walls, site grading, and sight distance review.
  • The Wintercreek Road Reconstruction Project for Marion County, delivered from 75% plans through final signed plans and project staking notes.
  • Plan and PS&E production for PBOTโ€™s Front Ave-Naito Parkway LID Project as a subconsultant to Kittelson & Associates.

Standards We Work To

ODOT, PBOT, and county roadway design standards, with ADA and PROWAG requirements applied to every pedestrian facility inside the right-of-way.
