A design only pays off if it gets built the way it was drawn. We provide construction administration and construction engineering and inspection (CEI) for public and private infrastructure projects, carrying the work from design through closeout. Because we also design, we understand where a project came from and what it needs next to reach completion.
What We Deliver
- Observation reports with photo documentation. Our reports lean heavily on photos, and the photos can be shared through cloud platforms so owners and designers can see field conditions within minutes, from an office computer or a phone.
- Submittal review to confirm that proposed materials and products meet the specifications.
- RFI management, progress reporting, and change order analysis.
- Project closeout documentation.
- Aerial progress documentation from our FAA Part 107 drone program when a site is easier to understand from above.
Paving Inspection
We show up with the equipment the inspection calls for. On asphalt paving we:
- Pull truck tickets to confirm the correct mix was delivered and to verify quantities.
- Check mix temperatures at the truck against the job mix formula (JMF), then check again to confirm compaction is reached before the mat gets too cold.
- Take measure-downs so no lift exceeds its maximum thickness.
- Use asphalt gauges to confirm target densities are being reached when a nuclear gauge technician is not on site.
Concrete Inspection
- Form checks before the pour. Slope tolerances and flow lines are verified while they can still be corrected. On sidewalks and curb ramps this is the most practical way to reach ADA compliance, and it saves construction time and material and heads off disputes later.
- Rechecks after the pour. Sidewalk and ramp slopes are measured again in case forms were bumped, and gutter slopes are rechecked so flow lines drain instead of ponding.
- Mix checks. We verify that batch-to-form times stay under 90 minutes and that no additives outside the specification are introduced.
