Clean, consistent drawings are what carry a design through review and into construction. We provide civil engineering drafting in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation, and we draft to the client’s CAD standards so our sheets fit into an existing plan set. Aligned Engineering is certified as an Emerging Small Business (ESB) through Oregon’s COBID program, and our NAICS code is 541340, Drafting Services.
Public Agency Drafting
- Plan and profile sheets for roads, lots, and accesses, covering both horizontal and vertical geometry.
- Cross sections at typical and specific locations, backed by a model that shows low points and where water is likely to flow.
- Exhibits that explain internal design concepts or modeling results, and that can be developed further for presentations to the public or to other departments.
- Base maps, design markups, and traffic control plans. On the Traffic Signal Interconnect Project for Marion County, we produced the base map and base plans, drafted the design markups for the Lancaster, Silverton, and Cordon legs, and prepared traffic control plans.
Public works drawings are often sensitive while a project is underway, so we do not post them online. With the client’s permission, we can share examples in person or by email.
Private Drafting
- Sketches to scaled drawings. Hand sketches of lots, plans, and profiles become precise, orthorectified CAD drawings.
- Additional views, such as elevations from angles that were never sketched.
- Floor plans that include the footings and foundation.
- Construction details prepared to the latest ICC code, following the local codes and ordinances that apply.
The goal on private work is the same as on public work: turn an idea into drawings that meet permitting needs.
